Dermalogica Back Treatment:
This treatment is the ideal stand-alone service for clients who need the benefits of both stress relief and purification on their backs. Perfect for both men and women, even one treatment will leave the skin smooth while helping to combat any breakout activity and relax the muscles.
This is a very deep tissue massage concentrating on breaking down muscular tension. It can help your muscles recover after exercise and also help to improve performance by keeping your muscles flexible and helping to prevent injuries.
Hot Stone massage:
Hot stone massage is a specialty massage that uses smooth, heated stones. The heat is both deeply relaxing and helps tight muscles release.
What Happens During a Hot Stone Massage?
Before you arrive, the massage therapist sanitizes the stones (very important!) and heats them in 120 to 150 degree water.
During the massage, the therapist warms up the body with traditional Swedish massage, then massages you while holding a heated stone. As the stone cools, the therapist replaces it with another.
The therapist might also leave heated stones in specific points along your spine, in the palms of your hand, on your belly, or even between your toes to improve the flow of energy in your body.
If you have inflammation or muscle injury, cold stones are sometimes used.
Indian Head massage
Indian head massage is based on the ayurvedic system of healing which has been practiced in India for over a thousand years (see Ayurvedic Medicine). It provides Indian families with relaxation and healing on a daily basis, as well as playing a part in rituals such as weddings and births, not to mention everyday events like a trip to the barber.
The client, fully clothed, sits in a massage chair for the treatment. The therapist uses a range of different movements including application of deep kneading and compression movements over the neck, shoulder and scalp areas. In addition, the therapist will also gently stimulate and stroke pressure points on the face.
"Prenatal massage shares many of the goals of regular massage , to relax tense muscles, ease sore spots, improve circulation and mobility, and just make you feel good.
